For their brand's 100th anniversary, Kingsford wanted a unique experience to celebrate the milestone but also drive retail sales during their peak summer grilling season. They also had regional live celebratory events planned.
We were very excited about the client's enthusiasm for emerging technologies like extended reality (XR), but were also very clear that what can be done in a native app (e.g. Pokemon Go) is very different than what's currently achievable with mobile web.
We planned GEO-coordinate based AR experiences that could be achieved in a web browser that activated in-store, could process a sweepstakes entry, and could unlock discounts.
